Today we show you a recipe for chocolate cookies that are special and irresistible. You will love them! These chocolate cookies are made in Linzer style, which means you fill them with a jam such as raspberry, blackberry or strawberry., or with a sea salt dulce de leche! Sounds awesome, right?  So where does this special cookie come from? The original Linzer Cookie comes from Austria, the city of Linz.

Ingredients Chocolate Cookies Linzer Style

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 sticks (226 grams) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar, organic
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, organic
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • Sea Salt, a pinch
  • 1/2 cup Dulce de Leche
  • Raspberry Jam
  • Blackberry Jam
  • Powdered sugar – optional
