Ciambelline al vino rosso are original Italian ring-shaped cookies that are sprinkled with sugar and contain red wine. Enjoy them with a glass of red wine and a good book. This is an authentic Italian recipe from one of our cooking angels in Italy.
130 grams of red wine
130 grams of sugar + 40 g for garnish
120 grams of extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon of baking powder
440 grams of flour
Put all ingredients in a bowl, mix until a smooth dough, adding more flour if needed.
Form and pass Ciambelline (ring-shaped cookies) in sugar on one side, crushing a little.
Bake at 200 C or 400 F for 5 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350 F and continue baking for another 10 minutes.
